In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Airport Lounges

Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door:

  • CIP Lounge (Domestic) – Location: unknown. Hours: open 24 hours. Lounge Access: 2600 KZT per person

Airport Hotels

If sleeping in Astana Airport does not appeal to you, there are hotels near the airport:

  • Astana Transit Hotel – (Located on airport property) There are 16 rooms available in three types: Double room, Junior Suite, or Suite. Rates are from 16 600 (up to 12 hours) – 20 000 KZT (24 hours), for a double room. » Check Rates

Airport WiFi/Internet

Free WiFi is available throughout Astana Airport. Connect to the “Kazakhtelecom” network. A mobile phone number is required in order to receive a PIN to access the WiFi.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: 1st and 2nd Floors, landside.

Baby Care Facilities – Changing table, cot, toys, comfortable seating and more, are available in the Mother-and-Baby Rooms. These rooms are available for use, free of charge, for mothers and their children, aged 5 years and under. Locations: Waiting area (landside) and airside in both the Domestic and International Departures.

Currency Exchange – Location: Terminal, 1st Floor, Landside • Terminal 2, 1st Floor, Landside. Hours: 24 hours.

Duty Free & Shopping – Duty-free shopping is available airside in International Departures, 24-hours a day. Souvenir shops are located landside on the 1st and 2nd floors.

Food & Drinks – The airport offers six dining/drink options on the 1st and 2nd Floors of the airport, all locations are open 24 hours! Options: Segafredo Zanetti Espresso • Yurt • Barista Coffee Shop • Pasta Burger • Creperie de Paris • Black & Brown.

Information Desk – Two Information Desks are available. Locations: Terminal 1, 1st Floor • Terminal 2, opposite the main entrance. Hours: 24 hours.

Luggage Packing – Fee: 1500 KZT per piece of luggage. Location: Terminal 1, 1st Floor, Landside • Terminal 2, 2nd Floor, Landside. Hours: Available 24 hours.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Luggage storage is available for 680 KZT per piece, per calendar day. Maximum storage period is 6 months. Location: Terminal 2, 1st Floor, landside. Hours: Open 24 hours.

Medical Services – A First aid post is located in Terminal 2, 1st Floor. Hours: 24 hours.

Mobile Charging – A reader tells us that mobile chargers are available at the airport.

Pharmacy – Europharma – Terminal 1, 1st Floor, Landside • EcoPharm – Terminal 2, 1st Floor. Hours for both locations: 24 hours.

Post Office – KazPost offers mailing services and money orders. Location: 1st Floor, landside.

Smoking Areas – Smoking is allowed in designated Smoking Rooms, located in both the Domestic and International Departures areas.

Rest Zones – Not available.

Showers – Not available.

Travel Agencies – If you are arriving in Astana and need local arrangements or help planning a really last minute trip abroad, there are a few travel/airline agencies that can be of assistance in both Terminals: Air Astana • Otrar Travel • Transavia • Scat Airlines • Bek Air • Kassa Pulkovo. Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Buses

Public buses Nos. 10 and 12 connect regularly to/from airport and the city center. For schedules, bus stops, hours, and approximate fare, visit the Astana Airport website.

Taxis

Taxis are available 24-hours from the Arrivals Hall. Approximate fares are posted, and a dispatcher coordinates you and the taxi driver.
