Barrow Airport (code: BRW) is a small airport in northern Alaska with a single-room terminal and very limited amenities. The terminal can get crowded, as it also serves as a gathering place for local residents. Travellers have described the airport staff as friendly, although seating is limited and uncomfortable.
Sleeping in Barrow Airport
The airport is open daily from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Overnight access is not available, so sleeping inside is not possible once the terminal closes. During operating hours, the hard seating, cold conditions and noise can make resting uncomfortable. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport.
