Bournemouth Airport (code: BOH) has a small, recently renovated terminal. The airport services low-cost and seasonal routes across Europe. Facilities include three eateries and a couple of convenience shops. Free WiFi is available to help pass the time. There are no pay-to-use airport lounges.

  • Hide Your Valuables. It’s also important to hide your valuables. Don’t leave them out in plain view, as this could make you a target for theft. Additionally, if you are a deep sleeper, you may want to padlock your bag to something or sleep with your bag up against a wall to make it harder for someone to access zippers and pockets. We have received reports of sleepers who woke up without their phones and laptop bags. The travellers were left with just their headphones and laptop bag strap.
  • Stay Alert. It’s best to stay alert and awake if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages to help you stay awake, and remember that you can always catch up on sleep during your flight. These simple precautions can help you enjoy a safe night at the airport.

Arcade – A small arcade with electronic and arcade-style machines is available in the departure lounge.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limits, especially when travelling internationally.

Currency Exchange – Travelex provides currency exchange services landside and airside. Hours generally align with the flight schedule.

Duty-Free & Shopping – World Duty Free operates an airside duty-free shop. WHSmith sells books, magazines, snacks, drinks, and last-minute travel items, with locations both landside and airside. Shops generally open from the first flight of the day until the last.

Fast Track Service – A paid Fast Track security option is available. Passes must be booked in advance, typically by the evening before travel.

Information Desk – An information desk is available landside, near the check-in area, for general enquiries and assistance.

Prayer Room – There are no dedicated prayer or meditation rooms. However, a multi-faith chaplaincy service is available, and a chaplain can be requested through the Information Desk.
