What to Expect
- A small, modern single-terminal international airport with limited shopping and dining options. Restaurants close at night, so have food and beverage handy for late-night snacking!

Where to Sleep
- Armrest-free benches are available in the terminal, but have a sleep mask and earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones to block out the airport’s bright lights and frequent overhead announcements throughout the night.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships
Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door or through a lounge membership program (ie. Priority Pass). Unlimited free WiFi is available at Graz Airport. Connect to the “Freewave” network. Additionally, there are four free Internet terminals in the Departures Hall (three in the Schengen and one in the non-Schengen area). In the VIP Lounge, there are two internet terminals.
More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport
Airport Tours – Find out what happens at the airport during a behind-the-scenes airport tour for groups (up to 25 people). Must be booked 14 days in advance. Rate: € 73,00 per group
Art in the Airport – The airport gallery “Galerie am Flughafen” offers exhibitions and cultural events. Location: New Departure Hall, first floor
ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Arrivals area directly outside the bank branch • Departures area next to the Supermarket.
Baby Care Facilities – Baby change facilities are available at the airport (5 locations).
Banking Services – There is a Sparkasse Bank at the airport providing day to day banking services. Hours: 10:30AM – 3:30PM.
Children’s Play Areas – A “Kiddie Air” play area is available in the departure hall. While in the Arrivals Hall, children can use iPads at “Joanneum Research”. A new playground is available outside the terminal.
Currency Exchange – There is a bank (see above) which may provide currency services.
Duty Free & Shopping – Duty-free shopping is available from 5:00AM until last flight. If you need to pick up groceries on your way home or to your destination in Graz, stop at Spar, located in Arrivals. A wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches, take-away meals and general groceries are available. Hours: 5:30AM – 9:00PM.
Food & Drinks – Food concessions throughout the airport operate with varying schedules. At the time of this update, there are no 24-hour dining options. Vending machines are also available in the airport. Landside you will find Face Bistro Take Off open from 5:00AM – 11:00PM.
Information Desk – Location: Departure Hall. Hours: 5:00AM – 10:30PM. You can also purchase a variety of travel items here (luggage straps, first aid kits, neck cushions, etc).
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Observation Deck – Relax and watch planes taking off and landing from the vantage point of the airport’s observation deck. During the summer a restaurant is open. Location: Landside, on the first floor.
Rest Zones – Not available.
Showers – Not available.
Travel Agencies – If you are arriving in Graz and need local arrangements or help planning a really last minute trip abroad, there is a Last Minute & Co. travel agency (Main Terminal) at the airport that can probably be of assistance.
The airport is open from 4:30AM – 12:00AM.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
Graz Airport provides convenience connections to Graz main station / Jakominiplatz where you can connect to further travel if necessary. The bus stop is located outside of the Arrivals area. At the time of this November 2018 update, adult bus fare is 2,40€ (one way). For timetables and additional fare information, visit the Graz Airport website.
Car rental services are available on the ground floor of the parking deck, connected to the passenger terminal by a covered walkway. Onsite car rental agencies include Alamo/Enterprise/National, Avis/Budget, Ecar rent, Europcar, Hertz, Megadrive and Sixt.
SMS Flughafentransfer offers 24-hour door-to-door shared or private ride service between the airport and your location of choice within Graz. For shared-ride service, a wait of up to 90 minutes may be possible in order to get other passengers on the same departure. No wait is required for private individual transfers. Rides can be booked via 24-hour phone line, online or at the customer service desk in the airport.
Thermenland Steiermark shuttles offers service between the airport and six thermal resorts in the region, from 6:00AM – 10:00PM. Service must be booked through your hotel at least 4 days before your arrival. Fare is € 38 per person, one way.
Taxis are available outside of the Arrivals area, during airport hours of operation. All taxis are metered, and reservations are not required.
Flughafen Graz-Feldkirchen railway station is located within a 10-minute walk from the airport. This station is on the Spielfeld-Strass line, with hourly service to and from Graz central railway station from 6:00AM – 1:00AM. Total one-way trip time to/from Graz central station is about 12 minutes. For timetables and fares, visit the ÖBB website.
