Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
Travel like the locals do! If you are traveling light, you can travel at a fraction of the price of a taxi by taking a city bus to the main bus station in Silao, where bus connections are available to Guanajuato bus station. Buses run along the highway, about 200 meters or so from the airport. Although this is the cheapest way to travel to and from the city center, it’s not necessarily the safest, especially at night.
The following car rental agencies offer service onsite: Alamo • Avis • Budget • Europcar • Fox Rent a Car • Hertz • National Car Rental • Sixt • Thrifty / Dollar.
Taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area of the airport. There are no meters, so negotiate a fare with the driver before starting your journey.
