What to Expect
Lukla Airport (code: LUA) has a tiny terminal that handles flights to Kathmandu. There’s never a dull moment at “the world’s most dangerous airport”. Its setting high in the Himalayas offers great panoramas but white-knuckled take-offs and landings. Most travellers here are beginning or ending a Mount Everest expedition. Expect basic facilities, as we are unable to confirm the availability of eateries, shops, or WiFi.
