Sleeping in Newport News Airport
This small airport sees few overnight travellers but seems to have no problem with those who do stay. You may need to sleep landside, where security guards are stationed overnight, but there are benches and seats. Music may play non-stop, so bring along earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones. ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs, operated by First Advantage Federal Credit Union and TowneBank, are available. Currency Exchange – Available in the Peninsula Airport Commission (PAC) office, located near Baggage Claim in the main terminal building. Hours: 9:00AM – 4:00PM (Mon-Fri). Only Canadian Dollars, Euros and British Sterling Pound are available.
Duty Free & Shopping – There is a Hudson News shop located landside in the airport, selling news, books and gifts.
Food & Drink – At the time of this update, there are no 24-hour dining options except for some vending machines. Airside you will find PHFlight Restaurant and Landside snacks can be purchased at Hudson News.
Information Desk – There is a welcome center in the main atrium (landside).
Luggage Carts – Available free of charge at the main entrance doors.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.
Mobile Charging – Seating with mobile charging stations are available Airside, opposite the airport restaurant.

Keep in mind that TSA, airline check-in and baggage drop hours vary according to the flight schedule. Check these hours with your airline. If you are in the public area of the terminal (landside) you will not be able to get through to the secure area of the terminal (airside) until the morning.
