simferopol airport guideSimferopol Airport (code: SIP) has two small terminals, one of which opened in the spring of 2018, but due to recent disputes about the region, the airport serves only Russian destinations. There are a variety of eateries and shops, both landside and airside, though it is unclear whether any are open 24 hours. Free WiFi helps pass the time. Economy class passengers can pay to enter three airport lounges. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: 1st Floor.

Baby Care Facilities – A kitchenette, bedrooms, play area, changing tables, and more are available in the Baby Care Room. This room is accessible to adult travellers with children aged seven and under, pregnant women (later pregnancy), and mobility-impaired children aged 14 and under. Entry is free, but a passport, flight ticket, and medical clearance certificate (granted by the First Aid clinic) are required to access the facility. Location: 2nd Floor, near the elevators. Hours: unknown.

Baggage Trolleys – Need a hand with your luggage? Baggage carts are free of charge at the airport and are available at Baggage Claim, Public Transportation Stations, and Check-in.

Banking Services – Russian National Commercial Bank and JSC Bank Rossiya are on the 1st Floor, Landside. They may provide currency exchange services.

Children’s Play Area – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before their flight, take them to the children’s play area. Location: Airside, 4th Floor.

Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free is available on the 3rd Floor. In addition, you will find a good selection of shops to spend your time at the airport. The multi-market or one of the two convenience shops (Landside and Airside) may be a good spot for last-minute snack and drink needs.

Information Desk – Have any questions? Visit the airport information desk for assistance! Location: Landside, Ground Floor.

Luggage Wrapping – Protect your bags from theft and damage by having them wrapped in plastic. Available via kiosks where you pay for the service via credit card, select the bag size and place your luggage on the wrapping machine. Rates: starting at 600 RUB per piece.

Medical Services – First aid services are available if you feel unwell or injured yourself. Location: ground floor of Terminal B. The clinic is available 24 hours a day.

Pharmacy – Healthy People provides pharmaceutical assistance. Location: First Floor. Hours: 24 hours (Spring and Summer) • 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Autumn and Winter).

Prayer Rooms – The airport offers both an Orthodox and Muslim Prayer Room. Location: Landside, Ground Floor.

SIM Cards – Win Mobile sells SIM cards, mobile phones and accessories. Location: First Floor.

Buses 49 and 49A, as well as trolleybus number 17, connect the airport to the city. The Autoexpress Fly & Bus connects the airport to other cities and resorts in Crimea.
