"This past August (1999), I spent the entire month backpacking through India alone. I had arrived in Agra, from Jaipur, and did not sleep at all because my train from Jaipur to Agra was late at night, and I couldn't fall asleep on the long journey (my bunk was right next to a large fan). I saw the Taj Mahal and then made my way to the Agra airport to fly out - onward to Varanassi. So, being tired from the previous night, and from sightseeing I decided to go to the airport early and sleep there. I must say it was on of the most comfortable seat anywhere to be found in India. I put a few chairs (cushioned) together and just went horizontal for nearly 6 hours. I put my backpack underneath the chairs. The only complaint that I have about this airport is that they left the air conditioner on constantly and it made the room very cold (the cold woke me up). Also, there are no restaurants there to grab something to eat. But I think there is one under construction there now."
