I learned of this website just prior to my trip to South-East Asia. Spent the night at the airport on January 4 2011.
Unlike prior reviews of the Ho Chi Minh airport, my friend and I easily found a place to crash for the night. We had 8 hours to spare before boarding a flight to Hong Kong and found a restaurant on Floor 3. The restaurant overlooked the arrival/baggage claim and had booths for patrons to dine in.
A construction site sheltered our booth from the main hall and the area was dimly lit. The booths could cover our torso and thighs, however being approx 6 feet tall we implented chairs as ottomans for our longer legs. Store your luggage under the table between the two booths for safe keeping. There were bathrooms at either end of the floor to wash-up as well.
The only security we saw stood at the entry doors for the terminals. Strangely they left me alone (Caucasian male) and somewhat hassled by friend (male of Asian decent but born in Canada) when he didn't have his bags with him. There was no security to be seen near the restaurant.
We knew we were on to something with respect to our location because when we awoke there were 3 other people doing the same as us.
