Airport Overview

vientiane airport

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us during their time at Wattay International Airport.

What to Expect

  • An international airport with two terminals: An older, smaller terminal used for domestic flights, and a larger, newly-built terminal for international flights.

  • There have been reports of extortion during security checks.
  • Possible language barrier, due to lack of English-speaking staff.
  • Internet access is available in the airport, but at the time of this update, the details are unknown.
