I knew this airport would be small but was surprised with it's offerings. I stayed there for 12 hours on a Friday night. Clean, well lit, and lots of bathrooms. Seemed very safe as I saw many police and one with an automatic weapon.
They have two places that are open 24hrs (Mcdonalds and Strock) on the arrivals level. Save money and buy your coffee at McDonalds and buy other drinks/snacks at Strock. They also have a supermarket (open till 10p) on the lower level towards the train station.
Seating is all metal benching except at one restaurant near arrivals. When it closes you can sleep on their padded seating. Room for only a few bodies.
Cleaners finish around Midnight or so. Airport gets busy again at 5am. Lots of flights in and out but the foot traffic clears out quickly. Airport is adding another terminal so hopefully it will bring additional comforts.

"I stayed in the Vienna airport overnight waiting for a connecting flight to Moscow. We actually had a hotel booked, but couldn't get there due to the travel agent telling us we didn't need visas when in fact we did. The airport is very cold, even in the middle of July. The only type of seating were hard iron-mesh benches which were uncomfortable to sleep on. The staff was horrible. Impolite and absolutely of no help. When I was talking with them, they would frequently look away and just stare into space, like I wasn't there. To top it all off, a few of the other euro-trash passengers walking by (did I mention that all the benches were in busy, noisy hallways?) gave me nasty stares. In some small way, I think that after the experience I could start to see why Hitler was so angry..."
