Traveller Comments....
"Lesson: Don't skimp! Or, if you do skimp, bring a blanket!!!" (TeaBunny)
"we found out that there's an airport chapel which also had a room with a bed in it. We were offered the bed by a pilot that was passing by." (?)
"Another traveller told us about the chapel, so we went there to try to get some shut-eye. It was comfortable (pews) and quiet, until throngs of university students discovered it too, and turned it into a party room." (Peggy)

Halifax has been newly renovated and is nearly complete. So, some of the older posts may not be relevant now. There are lots of areas to crash but nothing too comfortable (mostly individual seats). The best area to check is probably the area off the main lobby behind the elevator. You can also go upstairs--nothing much to sit on but it may be quieter. If you decide you have lots of money, there are three hotels now within a mile of the airport--they will pick you up of course (Holiday Inn, Hilton Garden, and Comfort Inn). Otherwise, it is at least a 30 minute trip into town.
