Sleeping in Airports

Airport Adventures: Bangalore Airport

The TV’s in the boarding area were playing grotesque scenes of people actually being murdered.

“(Main Terminal) – I had a horrible experience at the Bangalore airport last January. I had been working in India for three months and was fed up with the dirtiness and general laziness all over. I was on my way out to Singapore and had to catch a midnight flight. There were beggars and “businessmen” all over the place, every one wanting money from me because I was white. When I checked in my bags, Air India charged me over $250.00 for a third bag =- flying in, I also had three but Delta hadn’t charged me extra since they let me take the smallest into the cabin. The check in people behind the counter were surly and when I complained about the price, i was treated to the “rich American” argument and told to “shut up”. Then the guy took a tea break while I stood at the head of the line! The TV’s in the boarding area were playing grotesque scenes of people actually being murdered. Roaches and even one mouse were seen in the terminal. This is supposed to be an advanced part of India – I don’t think so! Don’t go through this place if you can help it!”
