    Antigua Airport

    20.08.2015

This a brand new high tech airport built by the Chinese for Antigua and Barbuda. There is an awesome gym across the street called the Antigua Athletic club. Full gym with free weights lockers showers pool and restaurant. There are plenty of places to eat nearby sitting seaside. If you need to get stuck this Airport for a little tiny country just moved to number one in the Caribbean.

    Antigua Airport

It's the most modern in the Caribbean. Very spacious, comfortable and again very advanced facilities for an independent developing Caribbean country.

Ageing but ok while the new terminal isn't finished.

Pros: Free wifi, bus stop close by, safe.

Cons: Old everything, freezing air con.

(Review by andresouza) I had the chance to visit this airport many times as it is the hub for LIAT caribbean airlines! the airport itself is old and quite expensive! so eat well and drink well before going there! a tiny sandwich will cost you easily 8 USD! some airlines do not include the departure tax in your ticket so come with 37 USD changed! immigration may not be friendly but at least they don't ask you too much things. There are comfortable seats but you won't be able to lay down, but you can however go up to the first floor where you can lay down on the carpet but be aware security will always wake you up to ask if everything is fine. TIP- if you on a budget, leave the old terminal (I say old because they are building a new one) turn to the left, walk across the park and you'll see a tiny bus shelter, the buses are big and they do not care about bringing a back inn, the fee is 1 USD.
