What to Expect
Aalborg Airport (code: AAL) consists of a two-level, single terminal with arrivals and check-in on the lower level and security screening and gates on the second level. Snack food is available landside, and there are a few eateries and souvenir stores on the airside, with open hours based upon the first and last departures of each day. Staff and security are described as pleasant and efficient, and the airport offers free WiFi to help you pass the time. Sleeping in Aalborg Airport
The airport is open 24 hours. Travellers report plenty of soft benches and secluded nooks conducive to sleeping are available. For uninterrupted sleep, there is a hotel at the airport and some others nearby. See Airport Hotels in the guide below or read traveller airport reviews for more tips.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? An ATM operated by Danske Bank is available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: Landside, Ground Floor, near the Check-In on the ground floor, to the left of Entrance 1. The machine dispenses DKK, USD, and GBP. There are no ATMs available airside.
Children’s Play Areas – A climbing frame, toys, and a TV with cartoons are available in the terminal’s soft and colourful play area on the 1st floor, above the dining area.
Duty-Free & Shopping – A duty-free shop is available airside on the ground floor. Hours: two hours before first scheduled flight departure – last scheduled flight departure.
