What to Expect
Alice Springs Airport has a single terminal servicing 10 gates. Other than a couple of shops and two small eateries, there are few services a the airport, though there is free WiFi. Where to Sleep
The airport closes at night, so there is no overnight sleeping allowed. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside and Airside.
Baby Care Facilities – Location: Airside, accessible to departing and arriving passengers.
Baggage Trolleys – Trolleys are available free of charge. You can find them in the car parks, baggage collection area and throughout the terminal.
Disabled Services – Wheelchairs available on request, and the full airport accommodates people with reduced mobility.
Drinking Water – Thirsty? Drinking water fountains with chilled water are available free of charge.
Duty Free & Shopping – A newsstand and souvenir shop are available. Location: Departure Hall.
Food & Drink – At the time of this update, there are no 24-hour dining options. Food concessions throughout the airport operate on varying schedules. Locations:

Information Desk – Location: Baggage Claim area, landside, eastern side of the terminal, near the vending machines, tables and baggage carousel.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Left luggage service is offered at the Oversize Baggage Room. Location: Opposite the Airport Management Centre, next to the First Aid Room. The storage fee is $10 per day.
Medical Services – A First Aid room is available. Location: Opposite the Management Centre. Hours: unknown.

Post Office – A post box is available Airside, near the restaurant entrance.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
The Alice Wanderer shuttle bus connects the airport and city center regularly. The adult rate as of this January 2019 update is AU$16.50. Prices are reduced if there are multiple riders. Tickets can be purchased at the airport or online at the Alice Wanderer website.
Car rental companies located at the airport are: Avis • Budget • Europcar • Hertz • Thrifty.
Metered taxis can be found outside of the arrivals area. The approximate fare for a ride from the airport to Alice Springs is $30.00.
