Don’t sleep in the airport. It shuts over night. But they don’t tell you that until you turn up the evening before your 7am flight. – a traveller
To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Arusha Airport.
What to Expect
Arusha Airport has a single, tiny terminal that serves several regional destinations. Facilities are very basic, with an eatery and a few shops. WiFi is not available.
Where to Sleep
The airport may close overnight, so camping out may not be possible. For uninterrupted sleep, area hotels offer shuttle service for a fee. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
