The security staff will not let you sleep, they will kick you to [the] arrival area, then in two hours to [the] departure area and in another hours they keep running around you to wake u up. BGY Airport Overview

Bergamo Airport is a mid-size, two-level terminal with 11 departure gates and a wide selection of eateries and shops on both sides of security. WiFi is available, and there are some charging stations. For additional services and comforts, economy-class passengers can pay to access one of the airport’s private lounges.

Sleeping in Bergamo Airport

Sleeping in Bergamo Airport is possible, but recent travellers describe a difficult night, especially before security, where the overnight area can be crowded, bright and noisy with little sleep-friendly seating. Floor sleeping is common, but security may wake sleepers and make them move, so uninterrupted rest is far from guaranteed. Conditions can be better after security, but overnight airside access varies, so don’t count on being able to stay there. Airport Hours

Bergamo Airport is open 24 hours for landside access. Airside typically closes after the last departing flight (around 1:00 AM) and reopens around 4:00 AM for security screening. A valid boarding pass is required to remain airside overnight.

Informal relaxation spots have been spotted in these locations: Airside, near Gate 5 (limited armrest-free benches, quieter late-night) • Landside, near Level 0, Arrivals lounge (basic seating, less crowded post-midnight). Milan Bergamo Airport has sleep capsules in the terminal’s public area that you can book for an overnight stay. If you prefer a traditional hotel room, the NH Orio al Serio is about a 15-minute walk from the terminal via an underground walkway. Several other nearby hotels offer airport shuttle services, although most charge a fee.

Free water refill stations are available airside.
Landside, drinking water is generally limited to restroom taps on Level 0 or purchasing bottled water from shops and vending machines.

Luggage Storage & Lockers

Self-service lockers are not available.
A staffed Left Luggage / Baggage Deposit service operates outdoors in the Mobility Plaza, between the terminal and the railway station.

Rate: €5 per bag, per day

Mobile Charging

Charging options are limited but available:

Airside: Power outlets and USB ports have been reported near Gates A12/A13 and B2/B3. Some seating in the Gate A area includes USB fast-charging ports (USB-A only; no USB-C reported).
Landside: There are no free power outlets. A paid charging locker in the Arrivals waiting area reportedly charges €2 for 30 minutes and includes USB-A, USB-C, and Apple cables.

Showers

Showers are available in the HelloSky Milan Bergamo Lounge, located on the Airside. The rate is € 52 (lounge + shower access) or € 32 (shower only).

WiFi/Internet

Free unlimited WiFi is available at Bergamo Airport. Connect to the “SACBO WIFI” network.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limits when travelling internationally.

Chapel – A chapel is available for quiet reflection. Location: One level below the Arrivals area.
