What to Expect

Campinas Airport (code: CPQ) has a single, medium-sized terminal that was recently renovated. Amenities include a range of cafes and restaurants as well as duty-free and convenience shops. A few eateries stay open 24 hours. Free WiFi helps pass the time. For added comfort, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. Sleeping in Campinas Airport

We do not have any recent sleep-related airport reviews. One older review mentioned that seating, comfortable enough to sleep on, is available in the 2nd-floor food court. Have a backup plan if you’re planning to spend the night. For uninterrupted sleep, private sleep cabins are available to rent, located airside in Corridor C. Otherwise, hotels are nearby. International Departures

A reader tells us, “Device charging: both at the landside and airside, there are black columns named NEOOH with plugs available, and a special column that allows for self-service pick-up for phone portable chargers, you just need to download the dedicated app. At the current times, the plugs located under the chairs are not functioning.”

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available 24 hours a day. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. ATMs are located in Terminal 1 and International Departures (1st floor).
Currency Exchange – Cotação offers currency exchange services near the International Arrivals Hall in Terminal 1. Hours are approximately 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM.
Duty-Free & Shopping – Dufry operates duty-free shops airside in the International Departures area, generally open from early morning until late evening. Additional retail shops are available throughout Terminal 1 and the International Departures area.
Hairdresser – Coiffeur L’Ellit provides hairstyling services for travellers. The salon is located landside in International Terminal 1, Arrival Area, Level 1, and is typically open from 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM.
Information Desk – An information desk is available in International Terminal 1, Level 1. Service is provided 24 hours a day.
Luggage Wrapping – Protec Bag offers luggage wrapping services near the check-in area in International Terminal 1. Hours are approximately 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
Massage – Massage Express operates 24 hours a day. It is located airside in the Domestic Terminal, Level 1. Information on rates and services is not available.
Medical Services – Urgent and emergency medical care is available at the clinic in International Terminal 1 (landside, ground floor). The clinic operates 24 hours a day.
Pharmacy – A Drogasil pharmacy is located in Terminal 1, landside, near the check-in area. Typical hours are 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM.
Post Office – Postal services are available at the post office on the Airport Terrace, Ground Floor. Hours are approximately 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Security & Safety

Sleeping in any airport can include a certain level of risk, especially when travelling alone. It’s important to take certain precautions to ensure your safety and the security of your valuables. Here are a few tips:

Safety First. It’s a good idea to know where the security office is located and look for video cameras where you plan to sleep. You can also ask the security personnel for advice on the safest places to spend the night.
Don’t Seclude Yourself. If you’re travelling alone, we recommend you stay near other travellers or close to security. This will help you feel more secure and deter potential thieves.
Hide Your Valuables. It’s also important to hide your valuables. Don’t leave them out in plain view, as this could make you a target for theft. Additionally, if you are a deep sleeper, you may want to padlock your bag to something or sleep with your bag up against a wall to make it harder for someone to access zippers and pockets. We have received reports of sleepers who woke up without their phones and laptop bags. The travellers were left with just their headphones and laptop bag strap.
Stay Alert. It’s best to stay alert and awake if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages to help you stay awake, and remember that you can always catch up on sleep during your flight. These simple precautions can help you enjoy a safe night at the airport.
