Gander International Airport consists of a small dated terminal with a gift shop restaurant/bar and 24-hour café. WiFi is available to help pass the time. There are no private lounges at this airport.

The Gander Airport earned accolades for its response during the 9/11 crisis, when it successfully landed 38 re-routed airplanes. With the help of the local population, airport staff successfully helped shelter more than 6,000 stranded passengers.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
