Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us during their time at Foz do Iguaçu/Cataratas International Airport.

What to Expect

  • A tiny single-terminal international airport with limited amenities, located in a small town.
  • The food court has several 24-hour dining options and a TV that stays on all night, creating a decent, although not very exciting, place to pass time in the airport.
  • WiFi is available. See WiFi in the airport guide below.

Where to Sleep

  • There aren’t many places to sleep, as this is a tiny airport, but one recent reviewer found a bench to sleep on. The airport is fairly safe and quiet at night, so if you have a travel mattress or sleeping bag handy, you may be able to sleep soundly on the floor.
  • For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Gold Smiles VIP – Location: Airside.
