To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Isle of Man Ronaldsway Airport (code: IOM).
What to Expect
A small but modern single-terminal international airport with basic shopping and dining options. Free WiFi is available to help pass the time. Economy class passengers can pay to enter the airport’s first-class lounge. See our Airport Lounges section for locations and rates.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

The airport is open from 5:30 AM – 9:30 PM (Mon-Sat) and 6:00 AM – 9:30 PM (Sun).

Free WiFi is available at Isle of Man Airport. Select the “IOMG Manx Telecom Wi-Fi” network to connect.
More Airport Information
ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? An ATM is available. The machine dispenses Manx and English Sterling, both of which are accepted throughout the island. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: in the main entrance lobby.
Currency Exchange – not available in the airport.
Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free shopping is available Airside, and a WHSmith store is available Landside.
Family Services – Parent/baby rooms are located on the ground floor of the main terminal and in the departure lounge. A baby change unit is also available in the toilets on the first floor of the terminal.
Information Desk – If you have any questions, there is an information desk. Location: Main Hall.
Luggage Carts – Available free of charge.
Observation Deck – Relax and watch planes taking off and landing from the vantage point of the airport’s observation deck. Location: Landside, First Floor.
Post Office – Not available.
Smoking – Prohibited inside the terminal and only allowed outside the designated areas.

Bus
Bus routes 1, 1A, 2A, 10, 11, 11A, and 12A link the airport to Onchan, Douglas (including Promenades), Santon, Ballasalla, Castletown, Port Erin, Port St. Mary and intermediate bus stops. Frequency: 15 minutes (Mon-Sat, daytime and early evening) and 20 minutes (Sun, daytime and early evening).
