To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Johor Bahru Senai International Airport.
What to Expect
The small terminal at Johor Bahru Airport (code: JHB), which handles domestic and international flights, is modern, but poor signage makes navigation tricky. You’ll find a range of eateries offering Asian and Western fare as well as a variety of shops. All concessions close by 10:00PM, but 24 hour food stalls are located just beyond the terminal’s entrance. WiFi is free for 30 minutes.
Sleeping in Johor Bahru Airport
The airport closes nightly, from 12:00AM until 6:00AM, but it seem that if you are inside the terminal before closing, you may be able to stay the night. Long benches are located near the terminal entrance. To spread out on the floor, head to the long hallway to the parking lot, left of the atrium. A travel mat or sleeping bag make it a bit more comfortable. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer shuttle service. ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Public concourse area and Ground Floor.

Duty Free & Shopping – Langkawi Duty Free store is available, along with a small selection of retail stores and gift boutiques. Hudson News and My News.com offer last minute convenience items. Most stores are open from 7:00AM – 10:00PM.
Food & Drinks – Most food concessions throughout the airport are open from 7:00AM – 10:00PM, but there are some 24-hour food outlets just a short walk from the airport terminal. Information Desk – Yes. Location: Public Concourse Area.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Luggage storage is available. Location: In the public concourse, next to the airport police station. See airport information counter for tokens. Rates: Small bag, RM 5/piece and a large bag is RM10/piece. A reader (2019) also mentioned that luggage delivery service (to/from the airport/hotel) is available. Medical Services – If you feel unwell or injure yourself, first aid services are available.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
Bus
The Airport Shuttle Bus (Causeway Link white bus) connects the airport to JB Sentral, while Causeway Link bus line 33 links the airport to Larkin Bus Terminal. Singapore can be reached from both of these stations. Tickets are sold at the Causeway Link counter in the airport, online, or on board the bus. Prepaid taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area. Stop at the taxi booth in the east wing of the Aeromall to pay for your ride. You will receive a coupon to give to your taxi driver before boarding the taxi.
