What to Expect

Kalamata Airport (code: KLX) has a small terminal that is busy in the summer with many seasonal routes. Facilities are limited to two snack bars (one landside, one airside) and a duty-free shopping area.

Sleeping in Kalamata Airport

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. The airport has very intermittent hours according to flight schedule. Depending on the day of the week and time of year, the airport could only be open for a few hours or all day with a mid-day closure. It is best to check with the airport before arriving.
