What to Expect
Kalamata Airport (code: KLX) has a small terminal that is busy in the summer with many seasonal routes. Facilities are limited to two snack bars (one landside, one airside) and a duty-free shopping area.
Where to Sleep

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. The airport has very intermittent hours. Depending on the day of the week, it may open as late as 10:00AM, it closes for several hours during the day and is usually closed for the day by 8:00PM. It is best to check with the airport before arriving.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
Some KTEL public buses run between Kalamata bus station and Messini, stopping at the airport enroute in either direction.
