With a smile, I commented to the other policeman that the so-called metal detector did not even seemed to be turned on. He put a forefinger in front of his lips, with a wink, he “Shhhhed!” me. – E. Mallari

Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Kalibo Airport.

What to Expect

Kalibo Airport has a small recently built terminal that handles domestic and international routes. Facilities are limited to a few eateries and shops. Past reviews have mentioned dirty facilities and questionable security presence. WiFi is available in the airport lounge, which economy class passengers can pay to enter. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for location and access information.

Where to Sleep

We have no reviews from travellers who have slept at this airport. If you’ve visited recently, write a review to help future travellers! For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer shuttle service. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door. Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!
