Shared Ride Vehicles
Travel like the locals do! If your load is light and you’re feeling adventurous, you can travel at a fraction of the price of a taxi by taking a “songthaew” (shared-ride minibus). Songthaews are not permitted on airport property, so you’ll have to catch one along the main road, which is also where they drop off passengers going to the airport.
Prepaid flat-rate taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area of the airport. Stop at one of the transportation booths inside the airport to pay for your ride. You will receive a ticket to give to your taxi driver before boarding the taxi.
