Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us during their time at Malta International Airport.

What to Expect

  • A small, modern single-terminal international airport with selection of shopping and dining options, including 24 hour options!

  • Economy class passengers can pay to enter one of the airport’s first class lounges. See our Airport Lounges section for locations and rates.

Where to Sleep

  • Reviewers who spent the night at this airport, described their overnight stay as safe, quiet, comfortable and hassle-free. Some reviewers slept in chairs at Costa Coffee, some slept on empty floor space, and others pitched a tent on airport grounds. A reader (September 2018) suggests heading to the lower level (beside Burger King) which has carpeted floor. Have a sleeping bag or travel mat handy for added comfort!
