What to Expect
Manado Airport has a small terminal that handles both domestic and international flights. You’ll find a few shops and eateries, some of which are open from 4:00AM until 12:00AM. According to past reviewers, WiFi is free. Economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for location and access information.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships
Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by purchasing a lounge pass or through a lounge membership program (ie. Priority Pass). Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

If sleeping in Manado Airport does not appeal to you, there are two hotels within walking distance or short drive. Reviews are mixed, so you may prefer to stay in one of the many budget hotels in Manado’s city center (about 30 min drive) or the Novotel Golf Resort, located on the way to Manado from the airport.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside.
Banking Services – BNI and Bank BRI offer full-service banking in the airport.
Currency Exchange – Prasarana Makmur Valasindo offers exchange services in the public hall. Hours: 5:00AM – 9:00PM.
Duty Free & Shopping – A small variety of shops are available to pass the time. You will also find four mini-markets, one of which (K Mart – Location: Landside) is open from 5:00AM – 12:00AM in case you need snacks and beverages.
Family Services – If you are travelling with small children, the following services may be of interest to you.
- Children’s Play Area – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before their flight, take them to the children’s play area. Location: Airside, 2nd Floor, opposite Gate 2/3.
- Nursery Room – Airside, 2nd Floor, opposite Gate 4.
- Baby Stroller Rentals – Airside, 2nd Floor, central area near the Pappa Rotti Cafe.
Food & Drink – Food concessions are available throughout the airport both landside and airside. At the time of this update, we are unable to confirm the availability of any 24-hour dining options. The following options are open from 4:00AM – 12:00AM: Roti’O (Landside) • Pappa Roti (Landside and Airside). Vending machines are also available throughout the airport.
Luggage Carts – Available in the public hall.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.
Luggage Wrapping – Available from 3 different providers. All operate from 4:00AM – 8:00PM.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
The following car rental companies are available onsite: Chellos Rent a Car • Batu Api Rentals • Makaria Rent a Car.
Travel like the locals do! If your load is light, you can travel at a fraction of the price of a taxi by taking a “mikrolet” (shared-ride minibus) to the airport. Mikrolets run on a fixed-route system, so make sure your minibus is going to the airport before you hop in!
Taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area of the airport, and it is the only method of transportation available at the airport. Some taxis don’t have meters, so be prepared to negotiate a fare with the driver before starting your journey.
