GND Airport Overview
To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Grenada’s Maurice Bishop Airport.
What to Expect
Grenada Airport (code: GND) is a tiny international airport on the island of Grenada. The facilities are limited, but WiFi is available and the staff is said to be exceptionally friendly! Everything at GND runs on “island time”, so prepare for the airport procedures to take a little longer to be completed than what you may expect. For economy class passengers looking for additional comfort, there is the option to pay for use of the airport’s lounge. See our Airport Lounges section below for locations and access rates.
Sleeping in Grenada Airport
While we have not yet received any sleep-related reviews, past travellers have cited hard seating as a likely sleep deterrent. Come prepared with a sleeping bag or travel mat just in case. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See locations in the Airport Hotels section below or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security. For more information on Europe’s Schengen Area, click here.
