What to Expect
Port Blair Airport (code: IXZ) has a small terminal that connects to several destinations on India’s mainland. A new terminal is currently under construction and scheduled to open in summer 2020. Expect hot, humid temperatures and slow security processes inside the airport. Facilities are limited to a restaurant, snack bar, and a couple of small shops. We are unable to confirm if WiFi is available.
Sleeping in Port Blair Airport
We do not yet have any sleep-related airport reviews, but it seems this airport may close nightly. Have a backup plan if you’re planning to spend the night.
