What to Expect

Praia Airport (code: PAI) has a small terminal that was renovated and modernized in 2018. Facilities are limited to a snack bar, a few small shops, and free WiFi.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. SIM Cards – A reader tells us “There are SIM cards available at the arrivals area, just past the RX check.  The two national networks are present. It’s basically the same network, different names.  10 euro will buy 10Gb of internet data. If you are to make local phone calls, ask for a different SIM.” (October 2022)
