RUN Airport Overview

reunion airport guideTo help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Reunion Airport.

What to Expect

Reunion Airport (code: RUN) has a small terminal that handles both regional and longer-haul flights. Facilities include a couple eateries, a few shops, and vending machines. Free WiFi helps pass the time.

Sleeping in Reunion Airport

This airport seems to close nightly, after the day’s last flight, so overnight stays aren’t possible. Thanks to mild weather, adventurous travellers can try camping under the stars outside the terminal. For uninterrupted sleep, hotels are nearby. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.

To help us keep this guide up-to-date, you can add or update information or write a review to submit airport tips and photos. You can also visit the airport’s web site for current information.  For more airport information continue scrolling down to explore more in our Reunion Airport Guide.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.  For more information on Europe’s Schengen Area, click here.

Airport Hours

As of this update, we were unable to confirm airport hours of operation. We recommend that you read a few reviews before deciding to sleep in the airport overnight. If you know the airport hours, click here to update this airport guide and we will update this airport guide.

Airport Hotels

While there are no hotels directly at Reunion Airport, the city of Saint-Denis is only a short 10-15 minute drive away.  Visit Tripadvisor to see a list of hotels in Saint-Denis, search deals and read traveller reviews.

Airport Lounges

There are no pay-per-use lounges in the airport. A reader tells us that there is a lounge, but it is only for first class passengers.  All other passengers will be denied.

Free WiFi is available in the airport. Connect to the “WIFI_PUBLIC_AEROPORT” network.

Food & Drinks

Food concessions throughout the airport operate from the 1st flight of the day until the last flight of the day. At the time of this update, there are no 24-hour dining options.

Rest & Relaxation Zones

There are no dedicated sleeping areas, quiet areas or rest zones. If this information has changed, click here to update this guide.
