To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down of what to expect during your time at Salalah Airport.

What to Expect

  • This brand new airport opened in 2015, and currently offers flights to several Middle East, Indian, and European destinations.
  • Economy class travellers can pay to access one of two airport lounges. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for locations and rates.
  • WiFi is available. See WiFi in the airport guide below.

Where to Sleep

  • As of May 2017, we have no reviews from travellers who have used this airport. Write a review to help future travellers!

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Airport Lounges

Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door, purchasing a lounge pass or through a lounge membership program (ie. Priority Pass). More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: unknown.

Baggage Trolleys – Need a hand with your luggage? Baggage trolleys are available free of charge in the car parks, at the entrance of the terminal building, and in the baggage reclaim area. The airport also has a porter service that costs RO1.500.

Currency Exchange – Yes, available.

Food & Drinks – There are cafes and restaurants available. Location: unknown.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Luggage Wrapping – Luggage wrapping services are available near check in area. Cost: unknown.

Medical Services – A clinic is available in the arrivals terminal, landside. It is open 24 hours, 365 days a year.

Mobile Charging – In July 2017, a reader let us know “There is no mobile charging but you will find two power sockets by the metal pillars next to each gate”.

Prayer Room – There is a mosque outside the arrivals terminal exit door. Inside the terminal, there are prayer rooms for males and females in the departures area, airside.

Rest Zones – Not available.

Shopping – Yes, book and gift shops.

Smoking Areas – Smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas.
