What to Expect
Salta Airport (code: SLA) has a small, modern terminal that connects to several South American destinations. Amenities are limited to a few eateries and shops, though none are open 24 hours, so plan ahead if you’re staying the night. WiFi is available inside the airport lounge, which economy class passengers can pay to enter. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.
Sleeping in Salta Airport
Overnight campers likely have no problem here. Try the cafeteria, which closes for the night, and push together a few chairs. Bring a sleeping bag or travel mat to lie on the floor, which is mostly uncarpeted. For uninterrupted sleep, hotels are nearby.
