To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Salvador Airport.
What to Expect
Salvador Airport has a large, single terminal that handles domestic and international flights. Amenities include more than 25 eateries and a variety of shops and duty-free areas. WiFi is free but travellers report that it doesn’t always work.
Where to Sleep
Travellers recommend heading to the observation deck on Floor 3 for peace and quiet. Seats have armrests, so you’ll probably wind up on the floor – bring a sleeping bag or travel mat for some warmth from the cold granite tiles. Another spot for relaxing is near gate 17, where you will find benches and hammocks. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer shuttle service. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all services and times listed below are subject to change.
As of this update we were unable to confirm whether the airport has any first class or business lounges. If you know, click here to update this airport guide.
