To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Skopje International Airport.
What to Expect
The small, recently built terminal at Skopje Airport (code: SKP) handles a variety of European flights, many through low-cost carriers. Amenities are limited to three eateries, which are open 24 hours, two duty-free shops, and massage chairs. WiFi is free in 30-minute sessions, but you can log in repeatedly. Economy class passengers can pay to enter two airport lounges. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.
Sleeping in Skopje Airport
Overnight campers describe a quiet, problem-free experience. Some benches are armrest-free but are hard metal. Whether a floor or bench, a sleeping bag or travel mat provides extra comfort. Banking Services – There is a branch of the Halkbank available. Location: Landside, Ground Floor, near Airport Entrance/Exit. Hours: 8:00AM – 4:00PM (Mon – Fri).
Currency Exchange – International Currency Exchange provides services. Location: Departures : 3:00AM – 6:00AM and 2:00PM – 9:00PM • Arrivals Hall (Mon – Sat). Hours: 3:00PM – 9:00AM (Fri – Sun).
Duty Free & Shopping – Two Duty Free shops are available Airside. Hours: open during all flight hours.
Information Desk – Have any questions? There is an airport information desk to provide assistance. Location: Landside, ground floor, in front of the escalators that lead to the Departures section. Hours: open 24 hours.
Luggage Wrapping – Available. Price starts at 300,00 denars. Location: Near check in area. Hours: 4:00AM – 8:00PM.
Medical Services – If you feel unwell or injure yourself, first aid services are available.. Location: Ground floor, airside, near gate 1.
Post Office – Mail your last-minute postcards from the post-office. Location: Ground Floor, Landside. Hours: 9:00AM – 5:00PM (Mon – Fri).

Smoking – Smoking is allowed in the outdoor part of NeedStop Cafe.
Bus
Vardar Ekspres offers a convenient scheduled coach service between SKP airport and Skopje city center, with several stops along the way. At the time of this update, a one-way ticket costs 180 denars and are sold at the Vardar Ekspres office travel agency in the airport.
Another option is via V2V Transport Dooel which service Airport – Skopje v.v between 1:00AM – 5:30PM daily. Fare is 199 denar per way.

Taxi
Fixed-rate taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area. Prices are prominently posted in each taxi and also at the airport exit. Official airport taxis are white in color, and are available for hire 24 hours a day at the airport exit. At the time of this update, the one-way fare for a trip between the airport and Skopje is 1500 denars (about € 25).
