I have been at this airport many times and it is a quiet and nice airport. Few people, and the people who works there are friendly. Enough seatings which are comfortable. – a traveller
SVG Airport Overview
To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Stavanger Airport Sola.
What to Expect
The small terminal at Stavanger Airport (code: SVG) primarily handles European routes, with separate departure areas for domestic and international flights. Amenities include several eateries and shops, including an airside duty-free that’s open 24 hours and a landside convenience shop that closes for only two hours overnight. WiFi is free for two hours. Economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.
Sleeping in Stavanger Airport
The baggage claim area has plenty of padded benches, but the area is cold, so bring a blanket or sleeping bag. Or, head to the Kissing Point on Floor 2 above the check-in area for long benches, dim lighting, and power outlets. For uninterrupted sleep, two hotels are in walking distance and other hotels offer shuttle service. See our Airport Hotels section below for locations or read some traveller airport reviews for more tips.
Some airport reviews and tips in this guide and elsewhere on the site were written before March 2020 and may no longer be valid. To help us keep this guide up-to-date, you can add or update information or write a review to submit airport tips and photos.
