To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Tangier Ibn Battuta Airport.
What to Expect
The fairly new terminal at Tangier Airport (code: TNG) primarily handles European routes. Facilities include a few basic eateries and shops, including duty-free, though none are open 24 hours. WiFi is free for three hours and you may need to register with an email address. Economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. Sleeping in Tangier Airport
Overnight campers report a safe stay here thanks to the presence of security guards. Comfortable seating is non-existent, so bring a sleeping bag or travel mat to spread out on the floor. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships
Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by purchasing a lounge pass or through a lounge membership program. Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

ATMs / Cash Machines – unknown
Banking Services – Barid Bank, Banque Populaire and BMCE Bank operate banking services out of the Terminal 2, Landside.
Currency Exchange – Available in the public hall of terminal 2 with the following companies: BMCE Bank, Banque Populaire, Barid Bank and Global Exchange. Airside you will find 2 additional counters.
Disabled Services – Services include dedicated parking spaces, ramps and elevators.
Duty Free & Shopping – Duty free is available in Terminal 2, airside. Most shops are located airside in Terminal 2, but there is one handicraft store located landside in Terminal 2.
Food & Drink – At the time of writing, no 24-hour options are available. There are two restaurant/cafes located landside in the public hall of terminal 2, and one in the airside area of terminal 2.
Luggage Carts – Need a hand with your bags? Luggage carts are available. It is unknown if there is a fee.
Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.
Postal Services – Drop off your last minute postcards at the airport’s mailbox. Barid Bank provides postal services. Location: Terminal 2, Landside.
Medical Services – If you require medical attention, emergency medical services are available.
Mobile Charging – A few reviewers have reported that outlets can be found underneath the seats (Airside) and near the washrooms. There is also a dedicated charging zone.
Prayer Room – A prayer room is available. Location: unknown.
Rest Zones – There are no dedicated sleeping areas, quiet areas or rest zones. If this information has changed, click here to update this guide.
Showers – There is a rumour that showers can be found airside. Unfortunately, we do not have a confirmation or additional information.

Taxis are available outside the terminal 24 hours a day. Please note, that fares increase during the hours of 11:30PM – 5:30PM. As of this update, the fare for a trip from the airport to the Tangier city center is 100 Dhs.
