What to Expect

The small, recently built terminal at Tyumen Airport (code: TJM) primarily handles domestic routes. Amenities include a few basic eateries and shops, including duty-free, and are all open 24 hours. Free WiFi helps pass the time. Economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge.

Cafe Maxim operates on the 1st and 2nd Floors in both the Domestic and International terminals. Hungry Max Burger is located on the 2nd Floor of the Domestic terminal. Vending machines are available throughout the terminal.

WiFi / Internet

Free WiFi is available. Connect to the “TyumenFree” network. Access requires a PIN sent via SMS, which may be difficult for travellers without a local or roaming mobile number.

Security & Safety

Sleeping in any airport can include a certain level of risk, especially when travelling alone. It’s important to take certain precautions to ensure your safety and the security of your valuables. Here are a few tips:

  • Safety First. It’s a good idea to know where the security office is located and look for video cameras where you plan to sleep. You can also ask the security personnel for advice on the safest places to spend the night.
  • Don’t Seclude Yourself. If you’re travelling alone, we recommend you stay near other travellers or close to security. This will help you feel more secure and deter potential thieves.
  • Hide Your Valuables. It’s also important to hide your valuables. Don’t leave them out in plain view, as this could make you a target for theft. Additionally, if you are a deep sleeper, you may want to padlock your bag to something or sleep with your bag up against a wall to make it harder for someone to access zippers and pockets. We have received reports of sleepers who woke up without their phones and laptop bags. The travellers were left with just their headphones and laptop bag strap.
  • Stay Alert. It’s best to stay alert and awake if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages to help you stay awake, and remember that you can always catch up on sleep during your flight. These simple precautions can help you enjoy a safe night at the airport.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

  • ATMs / Cash Machines – ATMs are available on the 1st Floor of the terminal. Fees may apply; check with your bank for international withdrawal charges and limits.
  • Baby Care Facilities – A mother and child room is available for departing passengers with children aged seven and under. Facilities include beds/cribs, baby-changing areas, a play area, kitchen, and washing machine. Access is free but requires a passport, boarding pass, and a health certificate issued by the medical centre. Location: 2nd Floor, near the airline offices. Open 24 hours.
  • Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free and a small selection of shops, including Good News (landside and airside), are available.
  • Luggage Wrapping – Bag wrapping is available in the check-in area on the 1st Floor. Cost: 700 RUB per item.
  • Medical Services – A medical centre is located on the 1st Floor. Open 24 hours.
  • Pharmacy – Pharma Grant is located on the 2nd Floor. Open 24 hours.
  • Smoking – Smoking is not permitted inside the terminal. Designated smoking areas are available outside.
  • Travel Agencies – Travel agency services are available.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

Bus 10 connects the airport to the city centre, with stops along the way, including the bus station and local railway station. Service is available between 4:35 AM and 10:45 PM with a total journey time of 40 minutes. Bus 141 links the airport to Nemtsov Square with less frequent departures and a total journey time of 50 minutes.

RentCar72 is the only car rental partner of Roshino/Tyumen Airport.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available outside of the terminal. At the time of this update, a ride from the airport to the city centre is 380 Rubles.
