What to Expect

Veracruz International Airport consists of a small terminal with a few eateries and shops. WiFi is available to help pass the time.  For added comfort, economy class passengers can pay to access the airport’s first class lounge. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below.

Where to Sleep

As of October 2018, we have not received any recent reviews. Please write a review to help future travellers! For uninterrupted sleep, there is a hotel near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door, purchasing a lounge pass or through a lounge membership program. Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

If sleeping in Veracruz Airport does not appeal to you, there are hotels near the airport:

Airport WiFi / Internet

WiFi is available at Veracruz Airport inside the lounge. [ see Airport Lounges above ] At the time of this update, we did not have any information about WiFi availability elsewhere in the terminal.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside only.

Currency Exchange – Globo Cambio located on the Ground Floor, landside.

Duty Free & Shopping – Shopping is limited to the Convenience Store, Landside and Airside. Hours: Unknown.

Food & Drinks – At the time of this update it is not known if there are any 24 hour food concessions. Landside offers the Snack Bar Jarochos and Airside offers Snack Bar La Bamba.

The airport is open 24 hours (operating hours: 6:00AM – 11:00PM).

As of March 2018, Veracruz airport is served by the following airlines: Aeromexico • Interjet • United Airlines • Air Canada.

Car Rentals

The following car rental companies have offices onsite: Dollar, Europcar, Hertz and National.

Shuttle Bus

ADO Bus provides service from the airport to a variety of destinations in Veracruz including the train station. For fares, routes and schedules, visit the ADO website.

Taxis

Taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area of the airport. There are no meters, so negotiate a fare with the driver before starting your journey.
