What to Expect
The small, modern terminal at Vigo-Peinador Airport (code: VGO) handles a few regional routes. Amenities are limited to three eateries, a sit-down restaurant, a convenience store, vending machines, and free WiFi.
Where to Sleep

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all services and times listed below are subject to change. Some services and facilities may remain closed or operate with reduced hours. Airport tips and suggestions in this guide and elsewhere on the site were written before March 2020 and may no longer be valid. If you are planning to sleep in the public area of the terminal overnight, have a back-up plan! We’ve heard from a few travellers at other airports and they were not permitted to stay overnight. We’re not sure if that will apply to this airport, until a reader lets us know the current situation. We will start updating all of our guides in October 2021. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Location: Landside, Ground Floor, near check in.
Duty Free & Shopping – Duty Free is not available at the airport. A Relay convenience store is located Landside and is open from 6:00AM – 9:30PM.
Food & Drinks – There are a couple of restaurants both landside and airside. Hours: 6:00AM – 11:00PM. Vending machines are also available.

Luggage Wrapping – Protect your bags from theft and damage by having your bags wrapped in plastic. A baggage wrapping machine can be found on the Ground Floor, check-in hall. Hours: 5:00AM – 9:00PM (Mon – Sat) • 6:30AM – 9:00PM (Sun). Rates: Unknown.

The airport is open 4:30AM – 10:30PM during the summer season (April – October) and 5:30AM – 11:30PM during the winter (November – March).
Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
Bus L9A offers service between the airport and Plaza Eugenio Fadrique on weekdays, and Rúa de García Barbón 7 on the weekends. At the time of this update, a one-way bus ticket is €1.35.
The following car rental agencies are located onsite: Avis/Budget • Enterprise • Europcar • Sixt.
Taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area. At the time of this update, a flat rate of €22.27 is charged for any journey between the airport and points within Vigo, Mos, or Redondela.
