What to Expect

Wroclaw Airport (code: WRO) has two small modern terminals, domestic and international. Amenities include a few shops and eateries, landside and airside, though none are open 24 hours so plan ahead for late-night snacks. WiFi is free available in designated areas. Economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.

Sleeping in Wroclaw Airport

Overnight travellers report comfortable benches and couches throughout the terminals. Airport staff don’t seem to mind campers. Do bring an eye mask to combat bright lights. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by paying at the door or through a lounge membership program. Airport WiFi/Internet

Internet kiosks are available for a fee on the upper floor, Terminal A – departures, Terminal B – departures. Free internet access is available at “Internet City” in Terminal B.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside, level 0 • Departure Hall • Baggage Claim Area.

Baby Care Facilities – If you are travelling with an infant, you will be able to find baby change facilities available at the airport.

Chapel – Location: Terminal A, landside, Level 0. Mass is held Sundays and Holidays at 10:30AM.

Children’s Play Area – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before their flight, take them to the children’s play area. Location: Location: Airside, Level 1.

Currency Exchange – Location: Money Exchange Poland has several locations, Landside, Level 0. Hours: unknown.

Duty Free & Shopping – Duty Free is available as well as a small selection of shops. The 1 Minute Shop sells groceries, snacks, hot and cold beverages. Location: Landside, Ground Floor.

Fast Track Service – Passengers with Fast Track security passes will be given priority service to ensure that waiting is kept to a minimum. Cost: PLN 20, available at the Airport Ticket Desk.

Food & Drinks – At the time of this update it is unknown if there are any 24-hour food concessions available at the airport. However, there are food options both Landside and Airside available during flight operation hours.

Information Desk – Have any questions? Visit the airport information desk for assistance. Location: centre of Departures Hall, Level 0 • Arrivals Hall, Level 0.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Location: ask for storage assistance at the Wroclaw Airport Ticket Desk, which is located in front of the check-in desks.

Medical Services – If you feel unwell or injure yourself, first aid services are available. The First Aid station is located on Level 0.

Mobile Charging – A reader tells us there are power outlets under the seats throughout the airport.

Observation Deck – Relax and watch planes taking off and landing from the vantage point of the airport’s observation deck. Location: Level 2.

Pharmacy – Pharmfit – Location: Landside, Level 0. Hours : 5:00AM – 11:00PM.

Postal Services – Drop off your last minute postcards at the airport’s mailbox. Location: Landside, Level 0.

Rest Zones – There are no dedicated sleeping areas, quiet areas or rest zones. If this information has changed, click here to update this guide.

Showers – Not available.

Travel Agencies – If you are arriving in Wroclaw and need local arrangements or help planning a really last minute trip abroad, there are a few travel agencies with offices at the airport that can probably be of assistance: ITAKA Travel Agent and Beta Travel.

Wroclaw airport is served by the following airlines: Air France • Eurowings • KLM • LOT • Lufthansa • Ryanair • SAS • Swiss • Wizz Air.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

Local bus 106, 129 and 206 (for night service) travels between the airport, Main Bus and Train Station and Poświęcka.

An airport express bus is also available, connecting the airport to the city via the main bus and train stations. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and departures (to/from) are available every 40-50 minutes. At the time of this update, the fare is 2,50€.

Car Rentals

Car rental desks are located in the public area of the Arrivals Hall, and car rental car parks are located outside the front of the airport terminal. The following car rental agencies are available onsite: Avis • Alamo/Entreprise/National • Awos 24 • Budget • Car Free • Car Net • Enterprise • Europcar • Global • Hertz • Panek • Sixt.

Taxi

Metered axis are readily available outside of the terminal. At the time of this update, a one-way daytime fare between the airport and central Wrocław is between 45 – 55 PLN, and a one-way daytime fare between the airport and PKP Main Station (Wrocław Główny) is 50 – 60 PLN.
