"Well, I had an early morning flight to catch to Auckland airport and I'd been in NZ for about 3 months and had totally run out of dosh. I figured hey, why not bunk out at the airport, it's been done before. It looked real cosy and being so small, quite safe. Problem is, it's too small... and they lock up after the last flight comes in sometime around 9PM. No one asked me to leave but it was obvious I wasn't going to be able to stay inside. But I didn't want to pay for a taxi back into town and certainly didn't feel like the walk. So I got out my sleeping back and slept under a tree in the parking lot. Ok, so I woke up a lot but it was pretty good, quiet and being summer, it was certainly hot enough. No one bothered me though I was pretty discreet. I've camped outside before and if stuck for funds, would do it again. New Zealand is also pretty good in that it's pretty deserted so there's always some place you can hide! The only glitch is maybe that it kind of rains alot!"
