Portland, Maine, is special because it has a 'Jetport' instead of an 'Airport'; otherwise it's a nice small-city airport. Spent a comfortable night in the baggage claim area after a flight glitch. Comfortable padded seating with no armrests! No hassles from anyone. Baggage claim is better than similar seating in the ticketing area, since passengers start flowing in very early for outgoing flights. As usual, wear warming clothing and bring a blanket and earplugs.... AIRPORT FACTS: Secure areas close at night. City buses serve the airport. If necessary, downtown Portland (and Greyhound station) is within (long) walking distance.
