My 8pm flight to Chicago was cancelled and I was put on a flight at 5:50 the next morning. There is not a whole lot in the area for hotels and I didn't feel like having someone come pick me up so I could travel 40 minutes back home just to head back to the airport at 3am. Managed to catch a snack just before the little restaurant closed for the night.

Was awoken at midnight as the airport was closing. Westchester cops don't have a whole lot to do and I really didn't think it necessary for every cop/security officer in the airport to approach me. However after much begging and pleading I was given the okay to stay, I just had to leave the gate area but could go elsewhere. I was given an airplane blanket and pillow by a Northwest Airlines flight attendant who suggested I go to the observatory. Hard benches up there but it was a really nice night though a little noisy due to the planes.

Managed to surprisingly sleep for 4 hours straight which I think is pretty impressive. Not a bad place, especially compared to some of the horror stories I have seen elsewhere on this website."
