In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Airport Hours

From 26/03/17 to 28/05/17: The airport is open from 12:30PM (Mon) • 9:30AM – 2:30PM (Tue, Thu, Fri) • 7:45AM – 12:45PM (Wed) • 10:30AM – 4:30PM (Sun). Closed on Saturdays.

From 29/05/17 to 30/09/17: The airport is open from 11:00AM – 4:00PM (Mon, Sun) • 7:00AM – 9:15AM and 2:00PM – 4:30PM (Tue) • 11:30AM – 4:00PM (Wed, Fri) • 7:00AM – 9:15AM and 1:30PM – 4:30PM (Thu, Sat).

From 1/10/17 to 28/10/17: The airport is open from 11:00AM – 4:00PM (Mon, Wed, Sun) • 11:30AM – 4:30PM (Tue, Thu, Sat) • 11:00AM – 10:00PM.

Note that there are a few exceptions to these schedules.


As of March 2018, Ikaria airport is served by the following airlines: Lufthansa • Turkish Airlines • Aegean Airlines.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport


Olympic Airways/Aegean Air offer buses to their passengers during the high season, to Evdilos, Raches, and Armenistis.


Taxis are available at the airport. As of this January 2018 update, approximate fares are €12 to Saint Kirikos and €37 to Port Evdilos.
