What to Expect

Formerly a military airbase, the small, recently built terminal at Newquay Airport (code: NQY) handles domestic and seasonal routes. Amenities include two cafes, a souvenir shop, vending machines, and free WiFi.  For added comfort, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge. Sleeping in Newquay Airport

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airport Hotels

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside, in the check-in hall.

Disabled Services – Newquay has an extensive list of services for passengers with special needs, which can be reviewed on their website. General services include dedicated call points, wheelchairs, specially designated toilets, an induction loop system, and an AviRamp for boarding and disembarking the aircraft.

Duty Free & Shopping – No duty free shops are available. One souvenir shop located in the departure area, airside.

Food & Drink – At the time of writing, no 24-hour options are available. There are two Coffee Republic cafes, one located airside and the other, landside. During the winter hours, the cafes alternate which one is open. During the summer, both are open from 6:00AM – 6:00PM. There are also coffee vending machines available.

Information Desk – If you have any questions, there is an information desk to provide assistance. Location: in the main terminal, landside.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Airport Hours

Newquay airport is served by the following airlines: Aer Lingus • British Airways • Eastern Airways • Eurowings • EasyJet • Edelweiss • Loganair • Ryanair • Skybus. Note: other airlines may serve the airport on a seasonal-only basis.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

Car Rentals

Europcar and Hertz offer car rental service onsite.

Taxi

Coastline Travel Cornwall is currently the official taxi service provider for Newquay Airport. Taxis must be booked at their service desk upon arrival, as there is no taxi rank, however, service can be booked online ahead of arrival. Pre-booked customers receive a discount and meet-and-greet service at the airport. Taxi sharing can also be requested.
