To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Taichung Airport.
What to Expect
The small terminal at Taichung Airport, divided into international and domestic areas, primarily handles flights to East and Southeast Asia. Amenities include a few eateries and shops, both landside and airside, plus reading bars that allow travellers to take or leave a book. Free WiFi helps pass the time.
Where to Sleep
The airport closes nightly, after the day’s last flight until 6:00AM, so overnight stays are not possible. For uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer shuttle service. See our Airport Hotels section below for more info.
In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.
