What to Expect
- A small single-terminal international airport with limited shopping and dining options. All airport food concessions are open 24 hours!

Where to Sleep
- Reviewers suggest sleeping on the artificial grass areas underneath the escalators. If you have a sleeping bag or travel mat and blanket, you can also sleep on empty floor space.
- Have a sleep mask and earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones handy to block out those bright airport lights and overhead announcements!

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
Avis can be found in the Arrivals Hall.
Tbilisi Airport is served by city bus line #37 Airport – Tbilisi city center – Airport. This bus line runs 24 hours and stops at a designated bus stop in front of the Arrivals Hall. At the time of this February 2019 update, a one-way ticket is 0.50 GEL. Exact change is required.
A shuttle service is available offering passengers a connection from the airport to 3 stops in the city center: Freedom Square, Heroes Square and 26 May Square, Sport Palace. Service is available 24 hours a day and as of this February 2019 update, costs 10 GEL per person.
Taxis are readily available for hire outside of the Arrivals Hall 24 hours a day. There are no meters, so negotiate a fare with the driver before starting your journey. At the time of this February 2019 update, one-way fare between the airport and city center is 30-50 GEL, and travel time is about 25 – 30 minutes.
Twice-daily train service is available between the airport and Tbilisi central railway station. Trains to the city depart from the airport railway station, located about 70 meters from the airport terminal. The train departs Tbilisi central railway for the airport at 7:55AM and 5:20PM, and departs the airport for Tbilisi central railway at 8:45AM and 6:45PM. Each train holds about 100 passengers. A one-way trip takes about 20 minutes and at the time of this February 2019 update, costs 0.50 GEL.
